American-made. Built to last. Ready for its second act.
The Cannondale M400 is a time capsule from when mountain bikes were simple, burly, and made to last. This Competition Edition rolls on Cannondale's 3.8 Series aluminum frame, TIG-welded and heat-treated right here in the USA back when that meant something in a sea of overseas cookie-cutter builds.
The specs:
- Frame: Cannondale 3.8 Series oversized aluminum, Size XL
- Fork: TIG-welded chrome-moly rigid
- Shifters: GripShift SRT 400
- Extras: Replaceable rear derailleur hanger, welded cable stops, water bottle mounts
Why this bike?
Rigid forks and classic geometry make '90s mountain bikes some of the most versatile frames ever built. Drop some slick tires on it and you've got a bulletproof commuter. Keep the knobby rubber and hit the trails like it's 1995. Or build it out as a gravel rig before gravel bikes were a thing. The oversized aluminum tubing pedals efficiently, the chrome-moly fork soaks up rough stuff, and the whole package just works.
Why buy vintage steel and aluminum?
No suspension to service. No proprietary parts to hunt down. Just a well-made frame that'll outlast most modern bikes and look cooler doing it.
Inspected, tuned, and ready to ride. $XXX.
